🧺 IMPORTANT – Bed Linen & Laundry

We would like to inform you that our previously available and very favorable laundry solution for helping you with the laundry at the end of your stay is unfortunately no longer available.

We are currently looking for suitable alternatives in Leuven. In the meantime, we would like to clarify how the use of the provided bed linen will work.

Using the provided bed linen is optional

The use of the provided bed linen is not mandatory. You are welcome to bring and use your own bed linen if you prefer.

For international tenants, we are happy to provide bed linen if this makes your arrival easier — for example, to avoid having to purchase bed linen for a short stay or to avoid carrying additional bulky items in your luggage when travelling to Leuven.

If you choose to use the bed linen we provide, however, the laundry and proper return of the linen remain your responsibility.

The linen must be returned clean, completely dry and in the same condition as when it was provided.

Using your own bed linen can also be a more sustainable option, as you can simply wash it together with your regular laundry rather than arranging a separate laundry service.

Mattress protection is mandatory

Regardless of whether you use our bed linen or your own, the plastic mattress protector and molton mattress protector must always be used.

These protect the mattress against moisture, stains, dirt and wear and are essential to keeping the mattress clean, hygienic and in good condition for future tenants.

In short:

• Provided bed linen: optional

• International tenants: welcome to use it for convenience

• Washing & returning the linen properly: tenant’s responsibility

• Plastic + molton mattress protector: mandatory at all times

• Own bed linen: perfectly fine and can be a more sustainable option

If you choose to use the provided bed linen, you can easily arrange the laundry yourself through one of the following services:

You can also use one of the laundry centres available in Leuven.

If you choose this option, please make sure that the linen is returned:

✔ clean
✔ completely dry
✔ properly folded/handled
✔ without damage or stains
✔ in the same condition as when it was provided

Please follow these instructions carefully, particularly regarding washing temperature, drying and handling of the different types of linen.

If we have to arrange the laundry for you

If you are unable or unwilling to organize the laundry yourself and we have to take care of it on your behalf, a supplementary handling fee of €45 will apply.

This fee covers the additional handling, collection/transport, organization and administration involved.

The actual laundry cost charged by the laundry company will be added separately.

The €45 handling fee therefore applies on top of, and independently from, the price charged by the laundry company.

A practical and sustainable approach

We understand that laundry arrangements are not always straightforward, particularly for international students arriving in Leuven with limited luggage.

That is why using the provided bed linen remains an option, rather than an obligation.

At the same time, we want to avoid unnecessary separate laundry movements and costs where tenants already have their own linen and can simply wash it with their normal laundry.

We are actively looking for a new, reasonably priced laundry solution in Leuven and will update this page if we find a suitable alternative.
