The responsibilities of technical maintenance for building and accommodation are well arranged by official rental regulation.
This means some specific maintenance or reparations will be at the responsibility of the tenant and some remain the responsibility of the landlord or building manager.

Communicating issues or problems
Regardless if the tenant or the landlord is responsible for solving the matter, it is ALWAYS the tenant first task and responsibility to communicate issues or problems, damages in the first place and as soon as possible to the landlord.
Your landlord will then evaluate the matter and look together with you to decide on the best solution, even if it is your responsibility. Some small repairs will be fixed sooner or more affordable if they are done directly by or with the help of your landlord.
We ask all our tenants to contact us always first before taking initiatives. We are happy to help if possible, as the well being of both tenants and our building remains at our interest.

– Don’t wait to report a (small) issue untill it is too late.
– Don’t mess with technical installations yourself,
– Make clear picture(s) if possible
– Be clear and complete
– Try to remember details (when did you first notice, how dit it happen, did it happen simultaneously with other issues, is it only inone place, smell, sound, …)
– Be patient, we are probably working behind the scenes to help you sort this.
