Why Organizing Inventory Matters Before Moving In
Whil you may consider to be present during the inspection, this may not always be possible for international tenants, therefore there are some practical reasons why we usually organize the inspection before the new tenant moves in.
Why is the inspection organized before your move-n?
🏠 The studio needs to be completely empty for the inspection.
⏱️ An inspection takes approximately one hour.
🤝 We have negotiated a preferential rate with IFIRMA for our tenants, which is also easier to maintain when inspections can be efficiently organized.
📅 As tenants arrive on different days and at different times, we try to organise several inspections of studios that are ready for their new tenants on the same day.
🧹 This allows us, IFIRMA, the cleaning team ànd the tenant to coordinate everything more practically before the arrival of new tenants.
The main advantage for you
Having the inspection completed before your arrival means that:
✅ Your studio is ready and available for you when you arrive.
🧳 You can move in immediately, without waiting outside for an IFIRMA appointment.
📸 You receive a complete and detailed inspection report, including photographs of the studio.
🔍 You can compare the actual condition of the studio with the report at your own pace.
Do you have to be present?
No, being present is allowed, but it is not mandatory.
You will receive the complete IFIRMA inspection report, and from the moment you arrive:
📝 You have 2 weeks to add remarks if you believe something has been overlooked.
🧹 For any cleanliness-related or device technical remarks upon arrival, you need inform us within 24 hours.
Please also keep in mind that IFIRMA needs to take clear photographs of the entire studio. If you are present during the inspection, they may ask you to wait outside with your luggage while the photographs are being taken.

That is, of course, your choice. However, you would need to contact IFIRMA directly and arrange a suitable appointment with them, subject to their availability.

We organise the inspection before arrival primarily to make your move-in as smooth as possible for everybody involved and to ensure that you can access and move into your studio immediately upon arrival, rather than having to organise your arrival around an inspection appointment.
EXTRA TIP while confirming the IFIRMA mandate:
When filling and signing the online confirmation, there is no need to request any supplementary files (usb, paper, …) as there is an extra cost involved for receiving this and you will receive a full detailed downloadable digital report already.
