π Newsflash: Twisted Shower Hose β Small Issue, Big Consequences
It might seem harmless: a shower hose thatβs slightly twisted around itself.
However, this is one of the most common causes of premature wear, water flow problems, and even leakage in the shower system.
π Why does this happen?
While showering, the hand shower can turn slightly with use. Over time, this causes the flexible hose to twist and tighten internally.
This tension builds up inside the hose, leading to restricted water flow, cracks, breaks, or leaking connections β especially where the hose attaches to the tap or showerhead.
β οΈ Why is it a problem?
A twisted shower hose:
- reduces water flow and pressure,
- puts unnecessary stress on the tap connection,
- shortens the lifespan of the hose,
- can lead to water leaks or even the hose snapping off,
- and causes damage that is not considered normal wear and tear.
π§ What should you do?
Please check regularly that your shower hose hangs freely and is not twisted.
π If it is:
- Remove the showerhead from its holder.
- Gently untwist the hose by hand until it hangs straight again.
- Reposition it properly so no tension remains.
π§Ύ Important to know
Damage caused by twisted hoses, misuse, or improper handling is considered user-related damage and will therefore be charged to the tenant.
A minute of care prevents a lot of hassle β and unnecessary repair costs.
Small effort, big difference.
