Toilet – Maintenance to avoid lime in your toilet

Posted by admin on 10/11/2022

As the water in and around Leuven is very calcereous, it is important to avoid LIME deposit in your toilet flusher system. For this we advice to drop an ANTIKALK tablets in the flusher system of your toilet on a regular basis, best at least monthly.

Studios with renovated bathroom – we’ve added a small movie here so to show you how to do this.
Having trouble? Let us know, so we can show you during one of the building visits.

Studios with a bathroom that was not yet renovated, can carefully remove the full top lid of the water reservoir carefully and throw a tablet in there regularly.

After putting the toilet do not flush! it may block your flusher to close until the tab is dissoved.
Instead let the tablet dissolve and work in the tank for a while, we advice to put the tab at night or on friday if you go away for the weekend.

Use also regular toilet product in your toilet at least once weekly or after each use. It keeps your toilet in good condition, fresh and helps also to avoid Lime. All of you have received a brush and one bottle of product to start with upon arrival.

NEVER EVER use toilet refresher block as they can easily flush and cause serious clogs. Not bringing you high costs but also causing inconveniance for all people inthe building, as it will not be possible to use toilet, shower, water until that problem is solved. Sewer pipes are not always easy to reach.

If you want a fresh toilet, use toilet product regularly instead

Where to buy toilet tabs: You canbuy specific toilet tabs or you can also buy washing machine antikalk tabs, some examples below.
