Stay in Belgium of more than 3 months

Every international guest who is staying in Belgium and does not register his stay at the municipality is considered a tourist.

Please note that we do not rent touristic accommodation and so when staying on our accommodation it will mandatory to register yourself to the municipality.

If a tenant decides not to register or not to complete the registration process, there will be implications as the charge of eg. tourist tax, city tax, VAT, … or even cancellation of your contract.

Registering at the municipality is official Belgian regulation and therefore mandatory for everybody arriving in Belgium and has intention to stay here, it’s not a difficult nor time consuming thing.
