Maintaining your kitchenette

We have invested a lot in your hapiness and conmfort. Regularly we see people do not understand how to maintain the installation and aquipment we have provided properly. Not knowing is not a shame, not caring however is a different thing. As a tenant you are fully responsible in taking care of what is provided to you even if this is not your own property, paying rent for something does not mean you have the right to destroy or mistreat it, onthe contrary. The law describes that wrong or careless use and therefore impacting the provided is at the responsibility and charge of the tenant

  • Damage: is to be reported immediately so we can check if there is a solution, guarantee is still valid, or even if the damage would cause more problems and damage!
  • Accident: is to be reported immediately so we can check if there is a solution, guarantee is still valid, or even if the situation would cause more problems and damage!
  • Structural problems: is to be reported immediately so we can check if there is a solution, avoiding more problems and damage!

Yes, every tenant nodds ‘of course we know and do this’ unfortunatley it is often proven not to be the case.

Please go through the below instructions, they are part of your houserules.

  • DISHES
    Dishes: NO drying it on the counter, they are to be dried immediately after washing! Drying it on the counter will cause the counter to soak water, even on a towel!!!
    Dishes: TIP: fill the sink and wash, instead of washing it under a running water tap, it will save your water consumption
    Dishes: washing dishes means to remove also baked on food completelyn using provided materials when not well washed will cause it to be waste after a few months
  • COOKING
    Cooking: NEVER – EVER leave your cooking or boiling food unattended, not even for a quick shower, there is a risk of fire and therefor the safety af all people living in the building! !
  • HOOD
    Hood: Filter plates the metal ones are to be cleaned regularly to remove the grease.
    Hood: Carbon filters inside have to be replaced rehgularly to have benefit of their efficacity.

  • WORKING SURFACE
    Working surface: NO CUTTING directly on the surface! Use a cutting board always!
    Working surface: always dry after use!
    Walls : always clean after use!
  • COOKER
    COOKER: this is an induction cooker in case you wish to buy supplementary pots or pans
    COOKER: is to be whiped to remove all food and grease and liquid after each use! Not removing it and using it like this will cause food to bake into the surface!
    COOKER: NO cutting or scratching on the surface, clean only wit soft tools!
